Where are you from and what is it like?
I'm from Providence, RI. There are a variety of lifestyles here. There are ghettos on the South Side, mansions on the East Side, homeless folks, state legislators and business men all reside downtown. I also noticed that R.I. had no musical identity or representative on a national stage.
Who are your main influences and what are your responsibilities in the company?
My main musical influences are Nas, Common, Mos Def, De La Soul, Rakim, KRS-One, Gangstarr, Tribe Called Quest and Notorious B.I.G. My main business influences are Robert Johnson, Magic Johnson, Oprah Winfrey, Sean "P-Diddy" Combs and Russell Simmons. My duties are Vice President, office manager, director of human resources, assistant web designer and business plan coordinator.
What inspirations do you draw upon as a writer and businessman?
I draw upon real world experiences, observations and emotions for my writing. As a business man, I am fueled by the memories of growing up tough and knowing that others will continue to struggle without assistance.
In comparison to other record companies, what advantages are their to being a member of Dominant Alliance Entertainment?
The advantages to being a D.A. member are the stock option privilege. The first 50,000 members will be entitled to collect dividends on a quarterly basis for initial 6 months of our albums release. D.A.’s motto “We judge our own” symbolizes a progressively competitive nature to allow the majority of our peers to select the elite. One also doesn’t have to worry about being exploited for their talents because D.A. compensates artists their full value.
