Where are you from? What is the community like?
I’m from the South Side of Providence, RI. My community is two faced, it has its good days and bad days.
How long have you been singing and who are some of your influences?
I’ve been singing since I was eight years old. When I was going to church my pastor said I should be in the choir because of my loud voice. Musical inspirations are Rakim, Notorious B-I-G, Luther Vandross, All Green, Marvin Gaye, Lenny Williams, Wyclef Jean, Jill Scot, Mos Def and Lenny Kravitz.
What do you aim to accomplish in the music industry?
I feel the industry needs anew era from unknown areas of U.S.A. I want to be one of the solders who start that era.
How would you describe your style of singing and what inspirations do you draw upon for your song writing?
My singing does not go by regular R&B guidelines. My writing is more aggressive from an R&B perspective. My inspiration for my writings is life and its mistakes and rewards.
In comparison to other record companies, what advantages are there to being a Dominant Alliance member?
